know where there is a MM that never got to be restored before owner died. It has Model Z serial no 01807785 on a tag on side of trans. what is the age of this tractor and what would it be worth, it is in rough condition been in the weather for many years. rear wheels are steel rubber on front.

According to the serial no. list on the MM website (jetstar.minneapolis-moline.com) The prefix of the serial number you gave '018' is for a 206 cu. in. 'replacement' tractor engine. I expect you found it on the engine block just above the starter.
Look again, there should be another tag about like it on the right side of the transmission, near the belt pulley hole.

You are right, I was forunate enough to find both serial numbers I put the wrong one in the first post. The correct one should be 00606229

I think by your serial number, you have a 1951 ZAU. I've only seen one this late with steel wheels, and it was running Farmall steel.

To confirm that indeed it is a ZAU, should have a narrow front, and have an almost flat grille with horizontal bars.

Sorry, can't comment on price, location plays a big part as well as condition.
