OK Guy's I need your help !!!!

Now my parts book does not have these part numbers in it. Can anyone tell me what I have????? ?

I believe everything you have is standard. When you cross reference parts numbers in the books to the stamped and cast numbers on the parts you often times have to interpolate. A give away on your main bearings being standard is that they have no suffix to the part number, such as A, B, C. I'm using parts catalog No. R-1108. It shows the standard center main as being part #CE5156. You say you have a number CE 156. M-M used a 5 in front of the basic part number in the parts book to indicate an assembly (evidently they view the two bearing shells as an assembly). Your #CE 153 should be your rear main. My parts book shows the standard rear main as a 10R65. Both numbers sub to 10R535. Are you sure the number for your front main is CE 158 and not CE 159, I can't find that number anywhere? If CE 159 it would be a standard front main (CE5159 in the parts book).

The parts book shows the standard connecting rod bearing as an HE5379 which subs to 11A9250 which would be the "paper" number of your 10A9250 bearings.

The book also shows a standard piston as being a 10A1900 casting with a 10B1900 parts ordering number. If non standard they would have a 1901 or 1902 number cast in. For me the 10A18900 number is close enough that I believe it is standard.

If I'm wrong on any of this I'm sure someone who knows a lot more than I do will correct me. Hope this has helped.

I have the same parts book that you have except mine says R-1108B. I was kind of reading it the same way way you were. I thought maybe the CE-158 may be a .0005 as I found nothing in my book either with that number. I'll recheck everything when it warms up a bit in the shop. Colder than the dickens out there today. Yes, you are correct in your assessment that I have another book for coverting part numbers. I've got the Repair Parts Substitution List and the Repair Parts Reverse Substitution List, both dated 1-1-69. They have come in very handy at times.

I don't know where any are available. I guess you have to look in the usual places: ebay, ads on this board, tractor swap meets and the national conventions of the two M-M clubs. There is a LOT of literature at the winter conventions. Hope this helps.
