i'm trying to find out if the minneapolis-moline G1350 could be bought from the factory with the narrow front end, commonly referred to as a tri-cycle front. i do not know, also, what about the G1355, did it have available a narrow front end?

THANKS FELLOWS FOR RESPONDING ABOUT MY QUESTION AS TO WHETHER THE MINNEAPOLIS-MOLINE G-1350/G1355 COULD BE HAD WITH A NARROW FRONT END. IT SOUNDS LIKE IF YOU HAD WANTED ONE, IT COULD HAVE BEEN ORDERED FROM THE FACTORY. MAYBE. ANYHOW I HAVE SEEN G1000 VISTA'S WITH FACTORY NARROW FRONT ENDS AND FRONT WHEEL ASSIST AS WELL AS STANDARD AND WIDE ADJUSTABLE. I THINK THE MINNEAPOLIS-MOLINE TRACTORS ARE SOME OF THE FINEST EVER PRODUCED AND I COLLECT LITERATURE AND TOYS ON THEM. I DON'T OWN ONE AS I LIVE IN TOWN AND HAVE NO STORAGE FOR IT. I DID USE, A 1948 M.M., U, ON THE FARM WHERE I GREW UP, IT WAS A STANDARD WHEATLAND TYPE AND WAS A HANDFUL FOR A 10 YEAR OLD. AGAIN THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR RESPONSES. JAMES

Welters in Verona, MO have a G1350lp with a factory narrow front, I think they bought it new.

John,I only live about 80 miles from Welters.They pulled that NF G-1350 LP tractor in the 13,000 lb stock class for years.I used to pull my 856 IH against it.It sure did look like a factory narrow front.

I'm pretty sure neither of these had narrow fronts. We put one on our Oliver 2155 to pull with. It is the same tractor as the g-1350. Ours came with a wide front similiar to a 2-150 White front end. The narrow front we added was an Oliver front like off an 1850.

I have a original brochure. all that is listed is a standard front and a adjustable row crop. My G1000 manual shows a narrow front end.

Yeah, thats right I have seen a G-1000 with a narrow front. I think 100hp was about the limit on what they put narrow fronts on though.

No, I dont think so, those two tractors were too large to come with a narrow front end option. I think the biggest row crop tractor I know of you could get with a narrow front was the 1950 Oliver, not sure what the biggest Moline that had a narrow front was, I know the M-5 had a narrow front option and the M-670 also.

Any of the narrow fronts, trycycle or single from the UB Special on would fit on the larger tractors but they would be awful heavy on them. I'm sure a lot of the wide fronts were removed for weight by the pullers and the narrow fronts of the smaller tractors would qualify as factory.
