I collect MM tractors, to balance this out, my wife collects sewing machines, among these she has a few White sewing machines. My question is: What is the relationship between the White Sewing Machine Co and White Motor Co?

They were not the same ownership but both were started by different members of the same White family. In the 50's Minneapolis-Moline used White sewing machines as sales promotions. I don't know if there was any connection to the MacFarlane family,{ Which ran M-M at the time} and the White family..

Thankyou Harold, any more specific information will be greatfully received. What I do know is that Thomas White started making sewing machines in 1876, the White family showed interest in making cars in 1906, but shelved the idea before actually building any, and Rollin White started out with Cleveland Tractor Co. in 1918. More information on the relationship between all the different White families is what I am curious about. Thankyou again for your reply.
