If the motor is not stuck I would offer in the 1500-1800 range with tires that just hold air. Alot depends on how close the tractor is too you as well. If you are not going to have alot in getting it home it gives you more to work with. You might check and make sure the front end is not busted out from under it, check areas where it is braced and connected to the tractor. A good running 705 should run along side of a 4320 or 4020 turboed. You might keep in mind by the time you spend 75.00 on a seat, fuel filters, fuel, oil, tires and tubes (if needed) you want to start with something pretty nice if it does not run. I have seen a few of these sell the last couple of years anywhere from 2200.00-3200.00 but these were auction sells and off an individual you should have more luck. Just my thoughts.

I think a 706 is a good MM as far a value is concerned. I saw a stuck LP 706 auction for $1700 last March. And I priced a restored LP at $6500! Those are the only two figures I have on recent 706 sales. Maybe get a professional opinion on the engine before I offered too much, the 504 diesel is a big engine to work on...

The 706 has a 504 cubic inch motor with a 4(5/8)-5.00 bore and stroke. It hits just about 101 horsepower at 1600 RPM. I had a 705 with the same motor and it would run circles around any comparable 100 horsepower tractor.
