Does anyone know where I can find an aluminum plate instruction plate that fits behind the switch for the off/start/lights switch on the control panel of a 1949 MM-model U?

Call R-M Distributors in Vail IA, 712 677-2491 and ask for a switch plate decal.(about $1)When you get the new decal remove the one screw holding your existing plate onto the control panel. Turn it over, (the backside should be perfectly smooth) and then apply the decal to the backside. Then remount the switchplate with a new brass screw which you carefully insert through the new decal and your old switchplate. Before I insert the screw I take my pen-knife and make a tiny X through the decal at the screw hole.) Do not over tighten the screw and ruin your new decal. I usually order a couple of decals in case I mess one up.
