Congrats Kevin on getting yourself a nice 1950 RTE. I've got a 1950 RTE serial 004500173 with engine serial 0175001377. If you can read the last 3 numbers on your tag that's all you'll need since there were only 204 made in 1950. I've heard of guys removing the tag to look at the impressions on the back side of the tag but have never tried this myself. If you can make out any of the #s we might be able to fill in the blanks.
I used a Motec wire harness on my RTE. Well worth the $50 in saved wiring headaches alone. Call Matt at Motec (765-963-6628). Matt can probably help you with a carb kit also. He'll rebuild yours for $40 if you'd like. Good Luck!

Kevin,

Nice find on a pretty desireable tractor. Your engine serial number indicates your tractor is a 1950 model year, one of 204 RTE's made that year. It was probably in the first half of that production. You'll have a lot of fun with it.

NAPA has kits for these carbs, the NAPA, Echlin # is 2-1401. Motec has wiring harnesses for $50.00, they are listed under parts suppliers @ wwwMinneaplis-Moline.com
