I am the proud owner of 2 MF 35s.

One was our old farm tractor. It has differential lock, and the key and starter are together on the left hand side. The serial # is 254084, and the engine # is (Z134 of course) 745509, made in Detroit, Michigan. How old is this tractor ?

The other I acquired as a MF 35 Super Deluxe, with the key on the right this time, model T035. The serial # is 202107, and the engine # is Z134 701563, manufactured in Racine, Wisconsin. I would like to find out the age of this one too.

Both are magnificent machines, in fine working order and I am very curious to finally discover a little more of their history.

Looking forward to hearing from fellow MF enthusiasts, this is my first posting on this board.

Thanks in advance !

Last summer I purchased a 35 MF Deluxe understood to be a 1965 year model. If it has a differential lock I have not found it yet. Where is the control and how does it engage and disengage?

Starter push button on left side of steering wheel. Key on left side Serial Number - SGM 244521

Hi Bill, it sounds like you have a regular 35Delux. The differential lock is a foot control pedal located on the right side if you were sitting on the tractor. The pedal is pushed down with your heel to engage differential, giving you positive traction. This feature is only found on the MF35"Super" Delux. If your tractor had one you would have found it and wondered how you got along without it. Hope this helps, cheers
