Just took delivery on MF175, runs good, starts good. Uses a little oil and I want to make sure I am replenishing it with the proper product. Can anyone tell me what the manufacture suggest and/or your recomendation. Deep south where it is hot and winters are mild...

I also live in the deep south along the Louisiana gulf coast and i run high detergent HD straight 30 weight in all of my gasoline engines including my truck. It seems to hold up better than the multigrades. Just my opinion. Good Luck.

Where you get things plenty hot and never cold, 30 may be safer than 10W-40. Lots of new cars aren't supposed to ever have 10W40 because it gets overheated and gels. 10W30 isn't supposed to have that problem.

The owner's manual should have specifics. You need one if you don't have it. It won't work perfectly for you without the manual. Especially the three point.

Probably any modern oil rated for diesel service will have better qualities than the oils available when it was new. For your warm area, probably a 15W40 would be optimum and might reduce oil consumption by not thinning out so much when hot.
