Well, I don't know Ponies too much at all but I had a friend that had a few of them and learned a bit from him. I've got a couple of MH 101jrs, a Cockshutt 30, MH 333, a Case V and an Avery A. I would say (from looking at classifieds, particularly the states and their US prices) that things here are pretty reasonable. A few years ago I bought a good-running Cockshutt 30 (dirty and rough tin) that had brand new rear rubber (38") for $550 Canadian. My buddy just picked up a Case S (not running) but complete, engine turns, fair rubber, for $500. Yeah, lots of bigger stuff, Farmall M's, IH W6's, Massey 44's, Oliver 88's, MM U's, Case D's and LA's etc. Not too many 22's or Mustangs, Pacers, etc. Almost everything here is standard tread with very few row crops. The small stuff can bring a decent price and most of that stuff moves pretty quick. Come on out here and settle down, great place to retire, no provincial sales tax and things are so cheap I can't spend my paycheck (ha, wouldn't that be nice). Do you know any Soldan's from the Edmonton area? What kind of stuff do you have?

Thanks, for the reply sounds like you got lots of hobby. I am a high school teacher who owns the family farm as well and I retire in one month. I have been buying up tractors for my retirement projects. I bought a nice H for 1100 and another last fall for 650.I also have my dad's farmall M to restore. I have restored a couple of cultivators and a plough for the international plowing match that was near here (Dashwood) in 1999. I have another cultivator to do as well. A friend of mine is aMassey Collector who has over 40 tractors ,most are Masseys..some rare ones, a 4wheel drive (1937) that came out of Maple Leaf Gardens In Toronto...used to scrape out the ice up untill the 1960's. We got lots of tractor wreckers close by and parts are findable. Yes I am most likely related to Soldan's in Edmonton Area. Much of our family left Ontario and went West in the early 1900's.My father was born in Man. and raised in Saskatoon. My grandfather sold Rumley Oil Pulls and threshing machines in Saskatoon in an area called the Goose Line..northand east of Saskatoon
