I have a tractor I believe to be a Massey Harris. It has 30-GR 13286 on the plate on the side of the frame. And on the motor tag it has MFB162G 128575. Could anyone tell me what year it is and what does the letters and numbers stand for? How about getting parts for it?

The G stands for Gasoline and the R stands for Row Crop. The 13286 puts it in the 1950 production year.
The 162 on the engine stands for cubic inches.
I have a 1949 which I am also restoring. (a real basket case)
The engine is stuck but all the parts are there.

The MFG date you can get on the trans housing
just below the clutch pedal, its cast in date. The numbers I don't know. Try tractor registry this board. For parts depends where you live, but in
general clutch, points, filter, carb kits, brake shoes w/brass rivets from MF. Carb kits also from ford. Things that you baby and hang onto for dear life carb, rims, dist cap, rad, governor, front wheel bearings. The rims are the worst to find, if there's calcium in your tires, chances are the rims are
paper thin, very dangerous. The Continental engine is common and anyone can do a rebuild. If they say you can't get parts, it's BS, find another guy. The front rims you can use chrysler, cept you'll have to ream out the hub hole a little. You can build an air cleaner out of an old
V8 air breather and tuck the whole thing under
the tin, and replace existing oil filter can with a cartridge type oil
filter that fits a 302 ford engine. Just make it out of steel plate brass fittings and copper tubes. Cheaper too has the MH filter is about 16.00 canadian. If you can find another that's scrapped, the
transmission alone can take you out of a bad fix
one day, so buy it. If the engine is seized, give the guy less. Plus you'll have 2 of everything, important when the manufacturer is
no longer alive. The water pump, front
wheel hubs and the external routing of the oil
lines differ from the 49 to the 51. But that's no
big deal. Hydraulic 3PH cylinders for the MH are
worth their weight in gold, if you find one complete with handle with the chrome in good
shape, hang onto it.

Hope that helps. Blue
