I have a MF 200 Backhoe Crawler which I have a hydraulic leak. The leak is where the shaft from the motor goes into the hydraulic pump. How do I remove the pump from the backhoe? It looks like there are 4 bolts which holds the pump on the backhoe. If I remove these bolts will the pump slids off the shaft? Any help will be appretiated.

Ed,

Unless you have something unusual, the hydraulic pump should be removable as you say. The shaft assembly usually is a spline that the pump male splined shaft will slide out of the female splined coupling.

Depending on how much slack in the hoses, you may have to disconnect them first.

Check closely for wear and replace all suspect items. Just replacing the seal may result with a short-lived repair.

Also, these pumps are generally common and available as after-market items. MF genuine replacement parts are very expensive.
