This was my grandfathers tractor who bought it new in 1957. Its been on the farm the entire time. It took almost two years of working on it in spare time to complete.

Just wondering what paint you used on the castings. Looks nice and seems to be darker than normal flint metallic gray.

Thanks Guys, I wish my Grandad could see it now. I was lucky enough to be around when he still used it.

You did a super job in restoring your 40! Please post the photos on the YT Harry Ferguson web site as there are lots of folks there who would like to see your tractor also. Better yet, bring your tractor to the North American Ferguson Expo in Lanesville, Indiana, September 12-14.

Beautiful job! I've got dads F40 sitting out back under a tarp. I just hope to get half as nice of a job on that'n someday.

You should be proud. I know Grampa is.
