Hi all,
I have a loader with an external pump to be mounted at the front of my MF165. I need to install an adaptor that will take the spline of the driveshaft and I need to know if I have to take the front off the tractor to do that? Right now there is just a plain pulley driving the fan and alternator. Thanks in advance.

Does your crankshaft pulley have any holes in it around the outside edge of it? (It should have 3 or 4 as mentioned earlier) If your crankshaft pulley does not have the holes in it you will need to pull the front saddle and axle off the front of the engine to replace the pulley with the one that has the bolts in it. If you have the flange that would bolt to your pulley, you will need to make sure the pulley you have (or would need to get) will have the same number of holes in them.

There was a flange and three or four bolt holes on the front side of the crankshaft pulley on my MF-135 and that's where I bolted the adapter that I made.
