The 38" rubber hurts the value of the tractor probably by $1000.No one wants the taller rubber.A good mf 50 with 28" rubber here in ohio will bring in the $3500 range.A common one or one with 38" rubber around $2000-$2500.A local dealer has converted several to the 28" rubber to sell them.

The wheel adjustment width would be simply what ever works best for your usage. Were it my tractor, I'd want 12.4x38 rears, loaded on it. These, thusly equipped, would give the tractor a porportunate amount of traction to effeciently use it power potential.
