Neighbor has a MF-35, about a 1960 model with a Z134 gas engine.

The orginal oil gauge has been replaced on the tractor with a gauge that reads in psi.

His oil pressure runs about 20-23 psi.

Today, he ask me if this was normal oil pressure for this tractor.

I have a TO-35, 1957 model, but my tractor has the orginal oil guage, it reads low, normal, high, so I do not know the normal reading in psi.

Does anyone know the normal oil pressure (psi) for the 1960, MF 35?

Thanks,

I have a MF 40B that has 40+ psi for about 20 minutes run time, then drops to 3-4 psi. I changed the PSI gauge with no change, and now just work the loader/box blade for short times.....
I"ve had the tractor over 20 years and it runs great. This started about 12 years ago.
Any ideal what is going on?

The owners manual or shop manual should have this info for you or you mgiht do an aarchive check. While i don"t know the spec values for the Z134,but its "sister engines" are the Z120/Z129 series, they have a pressure of 25-30 psi as normal with no less than 15 psi and 400 engine rpm at operating temperature. Based on this I"d say that 20-23 was acceptable.
