I'm in the process of getting a Massey Harris 101 Senior running.Does anyone know of a source for an oil filter cartridge?Been to NAPA,no listing in their book for Massey Harris, and they claim the filter for 226 cu in Continental is obsolete.Any ideas?Need filter number and brand.
Thanks. Pollack Pete

A friend of mine made one from a piece of angle,a piece of plate steel,a 1inch piece of threaded rod, a Ford 302 cartridge filter,
and 2 brass fittings to attach the in/out flow
tubes. The plate was welded to one of the
angle surfaces. He welded the steel rod to the center of the plate, this was the cartridge holdown. He drilled and tapped a hole dead center thru plate and threaded rod. He put a brass fitting in this hole. This is the exit line.

He drilled and tapped another hole positioned on the plate directly over where the oil entry
ports on the filter would be, then put another fitting on that. This is the entry line.

He put 2 large holes for bolts in the angle
to bolt the thing to the side of the engine.
You can use 1 piece of plate instead of the angle
by just bending it 90 deg.

The result takes half the space of the original and costs 1/3 the cost of a MH filter.
He says he gets no drop in pressure either.

I manage a programming shop. The double posts are probably not your fault. It appears that when your post takes a long time getting the server's attention a double post occurs. Several double posts have occurred to me and the only action on my part was to watch the spinning cursor to completion. A programmers need to perform a software tune up.

Thanks.
