I"ve seen 1155s used for pulling tractors, and they had straight pipes on them. Maybe you could ask a tractor puller about them.

was having exhaust manifold issues and the replacement parts aren't easy to come by.just brainstorming.

There are salvage yards and dealers that have donor tractors. The 540 V8 came in more than the 1155. I'd be callin Kuhns in IL. They seem to be the best for knowledge.

Are you wanting to run a turbo? If so the factory manifold will work fine unless you are going all out.
