A while ago I replaced my oil filter with one of the conversion kits to use a spin-on oil filter. Now it needs changing but I forgot what kind of spin-on filters were compatible....

Does anyone know what filters I can use? Can I get one from TSC or NAPA for a car (like a Ford FL1A) and have it work?

Thanks

You want a filter for bypass, the Ford filter is full flow. Not what you want. I think in Fram its an FL-50 for bypass, but I wouldn't use a Fram filter on an engine I care for.

Not sure which engine you have, but I just converted my MF35 Perkins A3.152. The part number for the head is 741922M1 and the filter is 1447082M1. I bought these directly from the dealer (very cheap). The same filter and head is used on a bunch of different models, so this might fit yours.
