Hello
I"m thinking of buying a basket case MH Pony, but I"ve never heard of a narrow front end on one.
Could this have been a "modification" or were any sold originally this way?
I"m waiting on photos of the dataplate and more wider angle shots. It"s a bit of a drive to just look at it without being sure.
Thanks for any info.
OldIron

third party image

I did see a nice homemade modified NF Pony at the Florida FlyWheelers Show in 2007. It was fixed up over the top but it was proof it could be done. He fabricated his own spindle, put on a double seat, had lots of chrome but missed th yellow wheels!!

It ran and looked very nice (for a modified tractor)

Thanks for the info, I didn't think from the angles it was a Pony, but thought I'd ask. With no perspective on size, it was difficult to say.
I"m still waiting on the photos, but I suspect it"s a 30 or something like that.
Love my 101 Jr RC with single front and the 30 we've used for ages cutting hay!
Just want a little tractor for around the house...
Pony, Colt, Mustang, etc...
Nothing Green.... (OK, if Oliver made a very small machine, but no J.D.s....)

I can assure you 100% that the Pony never had a narrow front. I have done quite a bit of research on the Pony and even spoken to 2 people who worked at the plant in the 50's.

The pony only had (2) front ends, an adjustable wide front and a fixed wide front.
