I've purchased an MF20D, which I cannot seem to find in the list of models here. I'm told it is about a 1970. The manual with it is for an MF135/150/165, but the cowling definitely says "20D". It is a Perkins 3-cyl diesel, and there is a Ransome Sportcutter 7 attached. The serial number is 811031.

I'm dying to learn more of this machine, and to find implements for it so I can put it to work!

Thanks!
Tom

I'm not into Masseys, but MF20D appears to be the number for a Perkins diesel equipped Industrial Tractor/Loader/Backhoe(TLB).If yours is not, perhaps the orig cowling was replaced with used one or it has had the Industrial equiptment stripped off of it.If your appears to be a farming tractor,I would suspect the former and is probably one of the models in the manual you rec'd.....Does your have 3pt hitch,PTO?transmission type?,color(s) of paint?..These would all help ID it further..... ..just my thoughts

Well, I've learned more now. The MF20D is the industrial version of the 240. It is yellow, which I'm told is the only difference, even having the adjustable front axle for ag use. Manufactured since 1983, I still have not found a list of serial numbers to more accurately age this machine.

It has a PTO, 3-point hitch and a 4x2 transmission. I've no implements for it, other than a 7-reel Ransome mower. I am looking for a loader.

It's missing the air cleaner, and a piece of sheet metal for the cowling. I will check with the seller, but I'm anxious to get it running!
