I have disassembled one of my rear 38"power-adjust wheels for sandblasting and painting. Ready to put it all back together now, but thought that I should seek advice about the best way to re-assemble. Maybe someone else's experience can save some time and trouble. Laying down or standing up, etc. Thanks for any help that you can offer.

Hello Richard,
Without any question fitted to the tractor is best.
This is particularly so if you have any wear on the rails. Assembling and tightening up on the floor will allow you to tighten the clamps but they might not be in the best place. If the wheel is fitted and the tractor jacked up you can tighten a little bit and turn the wheel so that when finally tightened all play is removed.
Make sure all of your clamp bolts and stop pins are free and oiled.

Thanks, David. Did it on the tractor and it was fairly easy. It took three people, but otherwise went fine.
