My MF165 when you shut it down, (sitting) it will drain all of the diesel fuel from the tank into the oil pan, then out onto the ground. drain the tank empty. I replaced the lift pump and but no help. Any clues?

Thanks

Not familiar with this problem, but can only thing of 2 ways fuel could get into oil pan. One is the lift pump, and you've already replaced it. Only other thing I can think of is leak around shaft at front of injector pump. Ya might wanna check that out.

It"s probably the lift pump. I"ve had to replace them on our 135 and 175 a time or two for the same reason. Should be a pretty easy job on the 165. Just use the manual lever to bleed as much air out of the pump as you can and set the throttle pretty high when you start it up. You may be able to avoid bleeding it out.

Agreed. It seems like you have a rapid movement of fuel. Failed front pump seals are usually slower. Remove the pump and operate the lever. You should hear air being drawn in and expelled. It will sound a bit like a 'mule'. If you do not have any sound at all it looks like a faulty pump.
It would be worth removing the thermostart. These can leak but again it is usually a lot slower.
