Has anyone here ever owned a 1100 gas? What type of engine did they use? Thanks.

I also have an 1100 gas. Good running and starting tractor. When pulling a 9 shank chisel plow in clay ground it will burn around 7 gal. per hr. Gave about 25% of what a comparable size diesel would cost. Diesel fuel here in Mi. is already $4.09 to $4.19 a gallon. Only use it about 50 hrs. a year.

Hi all, I currently own a MF1100 gas. it has the waukesha f320g engine. It has multi-power,pressure control hitch, dual remotes, and a tricycle front. as well as 3 pt. hitch. At the present time, I know of one other at this time, and it has a wide front. I am a charter member and board member of Friends of Massey ofPa. Also member and board member of MCA.

100 gallons a day!!! The reason I was thinking about one is I wouldn't mind having a gas powered MF tractor to run my 8 foot snowblower in the winter. It got down to 20 below this winter and I didn't want to try to start my diesel's thinking they would gel up, also I've always believed that tractors with powershifts are better off not started in real cold weather. There is a MF 1100 gas with no multipower for sale locally.

do not know how the size of this gas engine compares to the old John Deere 4010 gas engines.

But a friend said they had a break down on one of the 4020 diesels and had to use the 4010 for a few days plowing. He said that thing would go through well over 100 gallons of gas a day.

The 1100 gas might be a nice old tractor, but it could be very expensive to operate if fuel goes to $4 a gallon.
