Hi,

I am putting my clutch back together with new main seal, adjusting setscrews, release and spigot bearings. I was wanting to adjust my clutch before putting the tractor back together, does anyone have the dimensions of measuring tool MF215 for setting the distance between the clutch adjusting setscrews and the PTO pressure plate?

Thanks a lot,

Neil Mc

Geoff,

Do you have the actual MF215 tool? Looking at the pic in the manual I have on CD, I believe its a long thing with legs to place on the PTO pressure plate, do you have the length of the legs at all?

Thanks a lot,

Hi
A UK model should have 0,050"-0.060" according to Big Dean, and that equals the double hack saw blades very well. At least mine is working great now.

Thanks Frema,

Where does Big Dean's site have that info, or is it on his CD?

Thanks,

Use the Lucas ignition key as a feeler gauge if it is a UK built machine, or grind the teeth off 2 hacksaw blades and hold them together and use them as a feeler gauge.

Thanks Richard and Frema,

I was hoping to adjust it before I put the two halves back together, but that is a starting point. I guess I will have to bolt it back together and adjust it then, unless I can calculate the depth, maybe from the release bearing to the end of the spigot shaft.

Cheers,
Neil Mc, Tas
