Hello,
I accidently posted this to the Ford 8 & 9N board, so I'll try
again here:
My husband just purchased a Ferguson 35 with power take-off, along with a 2-bottom plow, drag, brush hog, corn planter (modified from horse-drawn
type, still had seat attached!), back blade, and a homemade, small wagon. The tractor needs some paint and sprucing up, but it started and ran nicely.
One front tire needs replacing. What do you all think we should have paid for all of the above? I hope we didn't pay too much, but oh well if we did: This
is my husband's favorite site, and he's wanted a tractor forever. Thanks for your opinions in advance.
Cheers, Renee

Hello, Renee,
I bought a MF35 with 6; blade and disk for $3,500 three months ago in El Paso, TX. It was rebuild, has about 80% rubber and runs great.
Good luck with yours. RK

: Renee, I went out and bought a tractor which had no implements,no 3 point hitch nor hydraulic pump. I rigged up a mechanical drag blade and proceeded to shake all my ribs loose after three hours of road grading. I spent about $1200. on the beast and it is the envie of many of my friends that don't have this kind of toy. Your type of tractor alone would sell for ~ $1800. plus in Ottawa Canada, and most dealers are asking $2200. to $3000. I have found a new respect for machinery especially regarding safety when working with these heavy machines. Hills, braking and running machinery all require more awareness than just driving a truck! Enjoy your new toy!

: Renee. Jeff's right. A scrap Ferguson 35 is worth at least $1000 for parts and real pretty ones can go up to $5000. With all the other gear you got, it could be more. Pick your worth and just think of how much fun you're going to have.

Renee, If you paid one million dollars, could afford it, and it makes you happy....You did just fine.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I'm finding it kind of amusing that 'yall just want us to be happy with the tractor,
give it a good home, (which we are, believe me! I can't wait to brush hog with it!) and not inquire as to "actual" value. But, (gosh, do I dare admit this here), my husband had been
looking at different makes, and so we weren't exactly sure how
this kind of tractor compared. Tim did seem pretty tickled to find it however! (Someone opened her big mouth at the table and
mentioned it was part of an estate sale nearby!) I just wanted to know if we were in the ballpark -- maybe this is a female thing???? :) Wink! Anyway, thanks for the responses. cheers, Renee
