MF135 steering - tires shudder when turning

I have a 1972 MF135 (Perkins gas) that I have owned since new. It only has 1200 actual hours and has only been used for bush hogging. The tractor's power steering has been getting worse and worse relative to wobble in the front tires particularly when turning corners. I have adjusted the sectors on the left and right sides using the corect procedures outlined in the IT manuals. The tighter that I make the sectors when turned to the left or right, the MUCH tighter the "center" position becomes. After looking at the various parts books and manuals, I see that there is a wear block that I am wondering is the culprit??? The only problem is that it looks like a real pain in the rear end to get at because all of the steering hydraulic lines go over top of the steering box and the wear block.

Can someone give me some idea if I might be overlooking something here. If I do have to service the wear block, how much time am I looking at and how much do I really have to disassemble to get at the problem. Is this a afternoon type job, or something much more involved.

Thank you in advance for your help! - GREG

I hate to suggest it, but my MF-135 Perkins gas (well over 3000 hours) only shudders when the steering fluid is low. Also, have you put a new filter in the pump can? If that is plugged, you won't get enough fluid where it needs to be when you need it to be there.

I'll check it this wend Jerry. The tractor is at my farm and I don't live there. The wobble / shudder can be seen as coming from the steering arms coming out of the steering box. I relaced all of the tie rod ends a couple of years ago, and that helped a little. I have a hard time believing that this thing could be worn our in 1200 hours. You seen these tractors with 3-5000 hours all the time.

I appreciateyour guidance
