Can I use something other than the adjustable style rims I have on my 65??? I see that they`re so much more than a regular rim. If I was to go with a standerd rim style, what hoops would I have to jump through to get it to bolt up?

do you currently have a set of adjustable rims for the tractor?, If so, they sure are nice if you were to ever want to adjust rear wheel width.

If rusted through and not repairable, I guess std. rims were available for this tractor.

However, would appear that outer rim replacement would be less than replacing the whole wheel as you would have to do if you placed non adjusting wheels on the tractor.

My adjustable rims are rotten around the valve stems. So would i be able to make standard rims work or do I have to change the centers out???

If you don't want to go the cheapest route, by fixing your existing rims, check on rims for the industrial version of the 65. I am not sure of the model number but 3165 sticks in my mind, but that may be the industrial equivalent of a 165. Non-adjustable rims from it would also probably fit.

If the only bad spots are around the valve stem,
remove the tire and tube, drill a new hole for the valve stem about opposite the bad whole, and have
the bad spot cut out and and a new piece welded in. I've done this on more than one wheel.

Good idea, Dave. I'll have to try that on one of my fronts.
