I have a 1974 UK 135 tractor. It has two cylinders on a heavy axle, one for right turn, one for left turn. Each cylinder has two ports on the end. How do you know which port is pressure and return ? I bought a service manual from the massey dealer, 1448813M1,but it does not cover the UK 135 power steering equipment. Thanks for any help RAD

Hi Rad,
My gen UK MF 135 workshop manual covers the system but does not show which way the hoses are connected. Are the support clamps still in place on the ram hoses? There is a tube inside the outer body which allows oil to flow to the small chamber when the ram has to be retracted. If there is any oil at all in the ram moving the rod by hand should show which port it comes from. So if you have oil coming from the upper port of the RH ram when you push the rod in you will then know that you require oil inward for a left turn.
Start the engine and turn the wheel to the left and note which hose oil comes from. That's the one to connect.
