Can anyone tell me how these two saddle tanks on the 1150 find their eqaulibrium? It seems as though only one side is filling yet it is getting the fuel from the tank with no fuel filler cap. I have about a 1/3 of tank of fuel on fill side but when I tap on the other tank it sounds like it is empty. Any ideas, besides the fact that maybe I am losing it??
Thanks

The lines at the back of the tanks connect the two tanks together. Check to make sure you can blow air through them. Those hoses equalize the air in the tanks so they can both fill. There is a big hose connecting the tanks together at the bottom front of the tanks that the fuel goes through. You should also have a line going in the top of the left tank buy the clutch . That is a return line.

The only lines I see connecting them are at the back - top of the tanks and goes under the seat then the pick up line comes out near the break pedals. No lines at the bottom of either tank. Where are the breather lines/openings that I should be looking for?

They are supposed to equalize through a tube that runs between the tanks located in the front bottom of them, there is a sturdy metal guard over it. I'm pretty sure the fuel pick-up on my 1150 is on the filler side, thats where the fuel filters etc are located, so maybe the transfer tube is plugged or something, cutting your capacity in half?

check your fuel tank breathers. if the breathers are plugged the fuel level can"t equalize in both tanks.
