I just bought a TO 35 Deluxe on ebay and I was checking the serial # to determine what year it is and I noticed that the TO 35 serial #s are with the Fergusons instead of the Massey Fergusons, but the serial number plate says Massey Harris Fergison. It says Massey Ferguson on the side and just Ferguson on the front. What is the story?

Your tractor probably has had a repaint job and new decals added during its life time.

If it is painted red now, it may have been orginally painted gray/green, beige/green or beige/gray.

My TO-35 in a 1957 model and was orginally painted beige/gray. It was made by the Massy Harris Ferguson Company.

If your tractor was orginally painted beige hood green frame, that was one of the more rare paint combinations, I understand.

Mine is a good little tractor and can do alot of work for its size.

Have a look at this site for a quick history.
There are a lot of other sites as well if you do a little searching.
