Ever since i bought this tractor two years ago the back lift has been jerky or nervous and slow and also lacks some power even when it reaches the maxium height and stops it still jerks a little i have noticed when you are lifting a load if you move the tractor by letting out on the clutch with it in gear it speeds it up and gives it more power Please Help!!!Have checked the strainer on the hydr.fluid

I have the same problem with a MF180, also when the tractor stops running, the lift drains down.

Thank you Big Dean for your response where is the master control spring located and how do you adjust it?

The Master control spring is located in the part of the lift cover that sticks out the back where the top link hooks. There should be no endplay in the part the link hooks to. If you have endplay there it will have to be removed from the lift cover in order to tighten it. I have some pictures on this I could send you If you want to give me an Email Address

You probably have a weak or out of adjustment master control spring. from the way you say it is acting
