I came across a 44 last week that I could buy if the price is right. It wont crank but on the good sice it's not stuck either. Good rubber sheet metal fair needs paint and a good once over with
a pressure washer, could'nt see any cracks in block or leaking fluid. I'm a Farmall user but could be a Massey user too. Any idea what this could be worth-ballpark figures

The 44s used a couple different engines. They could be had with a 6 cylinder gas,4cylinder gas, diesel or lp. Which do you have? They made alot fewer of the 6 cylinder gas models than the 4 cylinders but the 4's seem to be more popular. Besides cracks in the block you also have to look the frame over carefully. I've seen, and owned, a few MHs with cracked frames. They only have 6 bolts, 3 on each side, that hold the frame tight to the rearend and if they get a little lose the frame will get a little lose and then slap against the rearend and crack or break. You also need to know if it has live power, hydraulics or a three point. In the condition you describe I would start out at about $500. Add if it has a widefront, hydraulics, livepower or three point. Subtract for any cracks or 6 cylinder. Good running ones with hydraulics bring around $700-$1000. This is in wisconsin. Of course there are always some that bring alot more and some that go alot less.
