Woods BB720 with MF 533

I'm considering buying a Woods BB 720 for use with my MF 533.

The BB720 weighs about 1100 lbs. plus about another 150 lbs. for front and rear chain guards.

Some of my ground is very steep, and I do not wish to use front suitcase weights due to the effect upon maneuverability around the numerous obstacles that I must deal with.

Has anyone used such a heavy mower with a 533 on steep ground?

not familiar with the woods mower however you need to check horse power requirements for mower verses your tractor . you dont want to find that your are at the tractors limit while operating and then have to pull a steep bank . an good rule of thumb have ten horse to spare also a cab tractor has a/c and that will cut your available horse power as well .

Thanks, Tim.

The 533 is more than adequate for a 6' cutter HP wise. I use a 6' cutter on it now and have used the same 6' cutter on lower HP Ford gassers in the same conditions for many years.

The BB720 should pull easier than my old cutter because it is a much better design, which is why I am considering buying it.

I am concerned about the weight, though because the BB is about 300 lbs heavier than my old 6 footer.
