Well Thanks for all the information ya'll gave me!! I made the change and have about 1.5 hrs on the oil change. No signs of anything bad. Also I drained the old oil out and set it in a clear container ( for 2 days ) to see if I had any oil/water separation, There was none thank God!! I found the fan belt a little loose and I don't run the RPM's up to just more then an idle when I plow snow and I think that and the fan belt being loose it stared to over heat. With the antifreeze coming out the over flow and the gray color of the oil I thought I had a blown head gasket. All seems good to go for now. THANKS for the information!!!!! !!!!! !!

I just went and checked the oil. It smells like gas???? and is turning gray in color. Could there be gas getting into the oil some how? It starts right up and runs great even at an idle. Could this be a sign of something?

Running rich and cold puts unburned gasoline in the crankcase.

I don't remember which tractor it is, does it have a fuel pump. Fuel pump diaphragms don't last forever and sometimes pump gasoline into the crankcase. I've gone to an electric pump tu prevent that.

Keep an eye on the oil color. Grayish white oil usually means water.

You can have your oil sent out an analyzed if you don't see seperation.

But if you don't run it hard enough to evaporate water out of the oil, blow by, and ingested air will condense moisture in the oil. Really needs to regularly get the radiator up to 180F to keep those condensates out of the oil. Water vapor is a major combustion product.
