where do I find the serial # on my MH 30? the data tag on the frame is missing. Any help is appreciated thanks Mike

Steve's link is helpful BUT the location of the stamped number (if plate is missing) is a little bit misleading. The hand-stamped number is located to the LEFT of center (near the clutch pedal at rest) on the upper machined surface of the differential casting between the cast iron shifting platform (the gearshift assembly casting) and the steel plate covering the rear end assembly. It is stamped in large letters and numbers but they are often not deeply stamped therefore you've got to do some scraping and wire brushing to find it. Under all the paint and pigeon poop, it'll be there.
