If your MF-35 is a Detroit-built tractor it is 1962 but if it is a UK-built (Coventry) it is 1961

Hi Scott:

How can you tell if it was built in the UK. The serial # plate does not tell where it was built. Is there some were on the tractor that will tell me?

Thanks for responding scott.

Also, does any one have information on how to fix a stuck PTO lever? Will not go into gear.

Manny,

I'm not sure about the U.S. tractors but the ones built in the U.K. will have Coventry on the Serial Number Plate.

There were some U.K. tractors sent to Canada (and other Commonwealth countries) but the vast majority in the U.S. will have been built in Detroit.

Thanks Dick for responding. Do you know if there is a web site that has information on this year of tractor. I can not find any information on this web site.

Thanks again.

What specificly are you looking for? The Ferguson TO-35 (renamed the MF-35 after the Massey-Ferguson merger) is the world's most copied tractor.

Also, consider joining The Ferguson enthusiasts of N. America. Lots of info and articles on the TO-35/MF-35.

There's loads of MF35 info on this site...

Link
(right click, copy and then paste into your browser)

Not specifically for 1962, but it gives serial numbers, model variants etc.
