I'm trying to disassemble the steering control valve on my 165 and the book says to pull on the spool and locate a hole to insert a punch into. I'm pulling as hard as I can and looking but I don't see any hole. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the info. I'm looking in the right port but I can't see any hole. Maybe mine doesn't have a hole in it?

Sir: I had the same problem on my 150. If you have the IT manual, it is showing the wrong port for the hole. I could get a 3/32" allen wrench in there, but couldn't unscrew the spool. I had to unhook the linkage, clean the spool surface, pull the rear dust cover, withdraw the complete spool. The seal retainer is a #$%@ to get out. The retainer and seal have to come out before the spool can be removed. I had to remove the complete unit and place in a vice, using dental picks to unwind the snap ring. The o-rings are of standard size. I have a spare seal, but it is in my shop. I can get the number for you if needed. Hope this helps you.
