I recently bought a MF 1135, the 3 point would not lift nor would the pto shut off on the dash. It had a serious hydraulic line leak and I thought it would fix the problem by replacing the line. The power steering and multipower work fine so do the rear remotes. Any one have any ideas?

A 540 pto stub is available for your 1135. Just unbolt the 1000 and bolt in the 540 tightly with grade eight bolts. If your plates are warped, the only way to hook up to pto equipment is with engine off, and when you start it, pto may run as well, even with dash lever off. The pto clutch comes out of the top of the transmission after the rear pto gear box and output shaft are removed from the rear of the tractor. The chest cover as is has been called is the lift cover that sits on the differential housing. It comes off straight up.

Does the cab need removed or lifted to get the pump out or can it come thru the hole in the floor? From what I have been told there is a snap ring that needs pulled prior to slideing the shaft out the back is that correct?

My Massey had 2 seprate pumps I had your descibed problems. I clean the stainer for pump in my 275 witch I could drop from the bottom after drainig fluid. It fixed both problems on mine. The Pto drives the pump on mine and geting it going took care of both. I don't know anything about the 1135 to know if it is the same set up.

Yes I have a similiar set up, 2 pumps, a charge pump and a main pump. I did drain all the fluid this weekend and changed the filter and cleaned the screen under the tractor but that didn't fix the problem. Did you power steering and remotes work before you did that?

Yes they worked. My lift worked not good but some then almost stoped all together. the others worked fine. Sounds like you have a bad main pump. It may also be efecting the pto shift out I know mine did when it wasnt pumping right.

Have a couple of ideas. It sound like the three point valve is stuck, and it sounds like the PTO clutch discs are warped. The PTO gear assembly will have to come off the back and the charge pump cover removed to get to the PTO clutch pac for repairs. Now, if you don't need draft control for your three point, and you have two auxiliary valves. Tee into the three point cylinder lines to run your three point with one of the the auxiliary valves. Other wise you will probably have to remove the three point chest cover to unstick the valve. There are a couple of ways to try to unstick the three point valve from the outside, hard to explain, and don't work 90% of the time.

Wayne, thanks for the info. Could I get your phone # so I can call you and talk to you about this. If not, you think the the pto clutch is bad. So if I understand correct that clutch comes out the back of the tractor but I also need to get under the cab? I can't fix the whole clutch from the back? I'm guessing if I hook the tractor up to an implement the pto would work but I don't have any 1000 rpm implements. I don't need draft and I thought about plumbing them into the remotes. Where is the 3 point valve located? What do you mean by the 3 point chest cover? Is that under the cab? Thanks for your help.
