I have a 510 with a perkins 354 and we have to bleed the fuel system after it sits for a few days. I have had someone tell me that the problem is that we have the wrong gaskets for the fuel filters. Does anyone know anything about this? The problem did start after we changed the filters. Any help would be appreciated.

Micah, Your problem does sound like the fuel
filters air leaks but if not: MF had a service
bulletin back then addressing this problem that
they solved by furnishing a check valve for the
line from the fuel tank to the engine. I cannot
remember all the facts but a MF dealer should be
able to pull up. I do have all the bulletins but
access to them & my schedule would mean a few days. Chuck

Hello

I have seen this many times.when changing the fuel filters people tend to put the square cut oring on top of the fuel filter instead of up in the groove in the housing. When you put the oring on top of the filter it covers to holes in the filter and the fuel will not flow.

Good Luck Lance
