If you need to put in a new PTO seal while it is out I found that a 2" Schedule 40 PVC coupler is just the right diameter to drive the new seal in place.

Have to agree with all other replies....have you tried draining some oil out and removing the right hand back end housing side plate and see what happens when the sontrol lever is operated....or try moving the control valve lever manually with the engine running and see if the lift works any differently

The pump rebuild kit is only $160 and it is pretty straightforward work. You might even go a little further and put a 20 buck control valve in her... The piston blocks come preassembled, so all ya hafta do is bolt the thing together. Mine took an hour on the kitchen table. Never done one before. Listening to the wifes "concerns" took longer than that.

Pull the lift cover and PTO shaft and she comes out the top. I put new seals in my PTO. Might have put a bearing in there, can't remember. The parts from this site are top notch as far as the pump is concerned. Mine was a Sparex kit. Even had a Sparex part number. Good opportunity to clean out the belly while you are in there...

Where are you located?

Aaron

Have you pulled the top cover to see if the filter is clogged up?
You can rebuild it, but it I found it cheaper and easier to buy a used one from a boneyard. I think it was in the $300 neighborhood. Got it from Wenger's in PA
