Hello I recently purchased a MH 50 industrial tractor. The tractor turns over great and just spits and sputters. I took apart the Carter Carb and cleaned it. I put new cap, rotor, points condenser, coil, plugs, and wires. I set the points to .020. And the tractor still spit and sputters but won't run. Does any one have any ideas? Also how much is one of these tractors worth?
Thanks for the help!!

Have you checked the plug wires to make sure they're in the right firing 1-3-4-2 on the cap? Pull No1 plug near the radiator and bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke then see where the rotor is pointing. It should be at the No1 plug tower. Hal

Of course you need to check for a good spark. If you have a good spark at the plugs, I'd suspect debris in the fuel line or tank. After testing for good spark, easiest way to check fuel flow it is to remove fuel line from Carb and see if it runs freely and with some volume. If it dribbles, there's your problem. I'm assuming the fuel is new and you aren't trying to run it on the fuel that was sitting in the tank. As for worth, does it have hydraulics? Some of those don't have the three point hitch.
