I have a 165 and the Multipower works great, but only sometimes. At first I thought it might be a temperature related issue...that it wouldn't work if it was fairly cold outside (below freezing) but now I'm not so sure. When it's working, it engages quickly and you can feel it engage and dis-engage. Has anybody heard of this happening before?

Sir your linkage probally needs adjusted. @the sten comeing out of the trans . move the lever up and down it should detent into place. loosen the bolt on the clamp while holding the stem tap down on the clamp 1/4 inch or less. I think the m/p lever should be up at the time.

I would just add a bit to Glen's reply. Make sure that the linkage is lubricated and free and that you have positive movement in both directions. You moght be loosing some movement by the rods 'springing' when you operate the MP.
