Massey 85 Oil Leak

I have a Massey 85 that I pulled with last year and developed a oil leak on the differential around the hitch assembly. Does anyone have any
ideas about this oil leak? Have never had this hitch assembly apart so I realy don't know much about it.

It's been thirty years since I worked on one, but I believe that there is only a gasket that sits between the lift cover and diff housing. There may also be control valve that sit on top as well and I think there were only O rings in there. About the only oil up in the cover assembly is hydraulic fluid to push the 3 point lift piston up and then the oil drained back down into the tranny. Any other oil would just be swung up there by the rotation of gears and a seeping of oil. Try tightening the cover bolts and lift valve control body and see if it slows down any. Good luck.
