HELP PLEASE, My MF 25 had a very strong three point lift, then the tractor sat for two years. now the lift will not operate at all. I removed the filter housing under the seat and inspected, found no problems. I then forced hyd fluid into every port on filter housing, still wouldnt lift. Now I have removed the top cover, looked into the belly, pump area and can see nothing obviously wrong or broken. I reinstalled top cover but still won"t lift. If there is anyone out there who has a idea what the problem is and how I can repair it I would be so appreciative of your help and time. Thank You, Val

A couple of things that might be of help:
*When the tractor sat was it outdoors? wonder if you found water in the bottom of the tranny housing?
*I suspect that the spool valves have stuck in the main body, with the tranny top section turned upside down you can see the spools and operating cams. Moving the control lever should push in or allow them to spring out.The spools should be in contact with the cams at all times, exception being the FAR end of the control lever travel.
* The spools are spring loaded internally, one per spool, if they are broke/rusted etc you have to remove the valve body from housing, these springs are 4 and 6 inches in length[ approx]
*If you find a spool stuck[ inward is bypass] you can hook a small lever into a small ridge around the spool and get it back into position, but the best is to still remove and polish the spool[ lightly]
* make VERY careful notes on the cam positions [pictures help] with the control lever in the middle of its movement[ pumping position?]and be ready to fuss with them on assembly, the manual available here has the info and directions required
hope it helps
