If its a MF 65 with the continental g176 it should take 30w summer and 20w winter. I run non detergent oil also because of the age of the machine and ive heard that should be done but i dont know and it may not matter. Otherwise i would run 15w 40 or 30w.

10w-30 will be fine in a gasser.

We run 15w-40 in our 165 gas, just the same as everything else and outta the same drum. It's just easier for us.

Gas or diesel?

It will work in a gasser, although you'll get 1000 conflicting answers as to what might be BETTER.

Diesel, maybe a better choice would be 15W40 diesel rated oil.
