I have a 1961 Massey Ferguson MF202 with gas engine. I split the tractor apart this summer and I am putting it back together.
I do not remember which dirrection the clutch disc should go. I bought a new disc and turned in the other one for core and can"t use it to see which side goes towards engine as I believe it makes a difference.
Hope someone here can tell me or send me a picture. Thanks.

Is one side of the hub longer than the other? The long side sometimes interferes with the flywheel letting you install it only one way. May not be true on your tractor...

Thanks Roger.
One side is a little longer. It looks like it would go either way. Going by what you say, I would think long side should go towards back end of tractor.

Can you tell by the wear area on the transmission input shaft and take some measurements. I know it is difficult to measure the minute amounts.

Lay the clutch disk up against the flywheel and see how much clearance there is between the hub and flywheel. It will wear so the hub becomes closer.

Sorry I cannot be more help.
