This week I started my Massey 22 for the first time in about 2 months and when I went to shift it into gear it ground the gears like the clutch was not pushed in at all. The linkage and shaft moves like they should but the shaft that comes back to the tranny does not even slow down. I was able to start it in reverse and pushed in on the clutch and it just kept going. Any ideas on what is happening?

Your clutch disk is rusted to the flywheel and pressure plate. Try driving it with the clutch peddle down , open and close the throttle to break it loose. If you can see the edge of the disk and can hit it with a hammer and punch that should loosen it also. Thats why a lot of old manuals said to block the clutch peddle down when storing the tractor. Hope this helps.
