I just purchased a Pony at an auction the other day. Have NO experience and very little knowledge of MH (was looking for a John Deere and I hope I'm not sorry I opted for a Masseyharris). The serial number is PGA1293. Any idea what year this was manufactured? Where can I get the correct manual? Is there a magazine dedicated to the Massey line? Where can I obtain this?

I hope someone out there can help a novice!! Thanks. Dave (Bucks Co., PA)

I'll email you some info I got from a great little book called "Massey Tractor Data Book" by Keith Oltrogge. As for a manual you can probably find something from the sponsors of this board ( to the right) Hope this will be of some help. Stan

You have not made a mistake. The Pony is a fine tractor with an excellent engine. This site will give you the model year based on the serial number.

Also, all engine parts can be obtained easily since it is used for many applications. You can get most everything you need from NAPA or CarQuest.

I have a 1950 that I recently purchased with a plow, disc and harrow. I am looking for a set of cultivators. Mine has hydraulics, pto and belt pulley. I is also is good condition and just needs a few new parts. ALl I need to do now is new wiring and clean out the fuel system (may need a carb rebuild).

Best of luck with your Pony. It is one of the best looking small tractors made (I think).
