maybe buying a tractor for disc mowing

I'm real, real tired of taking my disc mower on and off my 1105 all summer, so..... I'm thinking of maybe buying something to put the disc mower on in the spring and just leave it on till all hay is mowed in the fall.

I want to run something with at least 70HP and anything over 85 is wastful. I'm NOT looking for anything newer than mid 1980's so I'm thinking models like 285, 1085, maybe 698.

Does anybody have thoughts or suggestions on what they would recommend for this task.

KY Farm I do beleive you are on the right track any of the ones you mentioned will do the job I do have a MF 1100 that would do a good job seems to be a real good tractor late 69 model if intersted
